Based at Québec High School, the CLC role is to open up the high school on the weekend and in the evenings to bring in community groups to offer an increased variety of educational and social and health services to the community. For more information, call 418 683-1953 extension 8252.
FORT Program: (Future Occupation Reinvention Team) program is offered through the Valcartier Family Centre in Ste. Foy to partners of military and ex-military and reservists, and their children over 18 years old to help them get back-to-work training and orientation. Québec Art Company: A non-profit community, English language, theatre group always on the lookout for volunteers and new talent: actors, singers, directors, producers, stage crew, costumes, set design, or anyone simply interested in participating in a production. Quebec City Reading Council: adult and family literacy resource centre is a volunteer-based not-for-profit organization. All services are in English. Free, private classes in reading, writing and math. For more information, call 418 681-1258.
Quebec City Women’s Club: The core goal of supporting education for women remains a priority for the club. The annual Book Fair raises enough money to fund bursaries for women seeking higher education. All adult women are welcome. For more information, call 418 844-1840.
